iPhone → Obsidian, for the things worth keeping

Save the good stuff while you’re still on your phone.

Content Inbox turns a shared link into a small, searchable note for your own vault. Start with an invite, connect a Shortcut, and let the cloud do the slow work.

Invite-only beta · no payment or email signup on this page
Built for people who collect ideas before they disappear. Keep the source close. Keep the note yours.

A small loop that gets out of your way

From “I should save this” to a note you can actually find.

The beta keeps the handoff simple: collect from the phone, process in the cloud, then let your Obsidian client write the result into the vault you already use.

01

Share it from iPhone

Use the Shortcut from the share sheet or paste a public link into a supported client.

02

Let the cloud prepare it

Text, translation, summary, keywords and source details are prepared for your chosen language.

async by design
03

Sync into your vault

Open Obsidian on phone or desktop, review the result, and write it to the destination you selected.

Capability map

Useful early, honest about the edges.

A public URL is a starting point, not a promise that every link will open. Each source has its own access rules, and the beta tells you when a result is partial or waiting.

Rbest effort

Reddit

Public posts and accessible comments can be saved with their context.

Comments may be partial. Reddit video is not promised in this beta.

Xpublic links

X and the web

Public pages are the target: preserve the source text, metadata and an accessible media reference where possible.

Login walls, private content and dynamic pages can fail.

IGsample dependent

Instagram and TikTok

Public single text or image posts, image carousels and videos are being tested independently as the beta grows.

Private, restricted, live and challenged links may not be available.

Results can be ready, partial, waiting, or unavailable. The page never turns an inaccessible link into a success story.

Getting started

Connect once. Keep collecting.

After your invite is accepted, this page gives you the plugin credentials and a one-time connection code for the Shortcut. The collection credential and sync credential stay separate.

  1. 1Install the signed Shortcut. Use the install link when it is available, or follow the manual guide while it is pending.
  2. 2Generate a connection code. Enter it in the Shortcut setup step; it expires and can be revoked here.
  3. 3Try one public link. Keep the first run small so you can see the full handoff into Obsidian.

Shortcut install

Checking availability…

We are checking whether the signed install link is ready for this beta.

Open the manual setup guide
  1. Open Shortcuts on your iPhone and create a new shortcut.
  2. Add a text action that receives the connection code generated below.
  3. Use the beta endpoint shown after redemption, then run one public link and check the Obsidian history.

The manual path is a guide for this beta, not a replacement for the signed install when it becomes available.

Privacy, in plain language

Your notes go back to your vault.

This is a processing bridge, not a second knowledge base. We keep the information needed to finish delivery and remove the cloud copy when the handoff is complete.

US server

Beta processing runs on a US server. Check your own data and organization requirements before using sensitive material.

Named providers

Doubao is used for speech recognition. DeepSeek is used for translation and text preparation.

Time-bounded cloud copy

After a successful Obsidian ACK, the cloud copy is deleted. If delivery never completes, it is deleted after 7 days.

You’re early

Bring one link you already wish you had saved.

Redeem your invite to create the beta account connection for this browser session. Your credentials appear only after a successful redemption so you can copy them into the setup flow.

Keep the sync and collection tokens private. This page does not store them in the browser or send an automated payment or email signup.

Paste the code exactly as it was shared with you.
